Grief Circle

Grief is a portal that offers us no choice in entry and is sure to leave us changed. The choice we have is how we move through.

Our experiences with grief can often leave us feeling helpless, overwhelmed, and lonely. Grief is something that each of us will carry in many ways throughout our lifetime. In these grief circles I want to offer a space for grief to be shared, experienced, and witnessed by others in a space that is supportive and without judgment. There is not grief too big or too small - all experiences are welcomed here. Being together and standing witness to one another's experience is a potent experience that offers deep healing and transformation.

The work I bring forward is deeply inspired by the work of Francis Weller and his book The Wild Edge of Sorrow. I am also a somatic trained coach with a long history of body work. My goal with this group (and individual work) is to help us build up the capacity to carry deep emotions. When we cut ourselves off from the pain we also cut ourselves off from the goodness, the joy, pleasure, and delights of life. I suggest bringing a journal with you to this first circle.
