Intro to Watercolors

In this one-session beginner’s class for adults, you’ll learn the foundational skills to begin your watercolor journey with confidence.

What You’ll Learn:
-The main characteristics of watercolor.
-Materials.
-Basic Techniques: wet-on-dry, wet-on-wet, lifting, and layering.
-Step-by-step instructions and strategies for successful paintings in a realistic style.
-Why value matters and how to create a value study.
-A class project to put it all together!

-A detailed handout with everything covered in class, exercises, and sketches.
-A take-home kit that includes paints, brushes, a palette, and watercolor paper.
