It is time for our 11th Annual Memorial Day Murph event at CrossFit Adept!
To elaborate, CrossFit boxes all around the US and world perform the benchmark Hero workout, "Murph", on Memorial Day weekend.
At CrossFit Adept, we have transformed the workout into a staple charity event dedicated to the foundation for former Navy Seal, Lt. Michael P. Murphy, in which the workout is named after; it has become more than just a workout, rather an awesome experience you get to share with your friends and family. All profits from the event registration and raffle is donated to the Lt. Michael P. Murphy Foundation... Last year we were able to raise $661.51 and have raised $7,221.48 in total across the 10 years of the foundation!
Registration/donation fee is $30 (event shirt included if signed up before Monday, May 19th). For an additional $20 you can also add a limited edition 2025 velcro event patch that can be added to your backpack, weight vest/plate carrier, or anything you'd like (note, patches may not arrive prior to event). The payment to participate will be collected the day of the event in the form of cash or check.
Logistically we will begin the day on Monday, May 26th with heat times at 7:30am, 8:30am, 9:30am and 10:30am. Following the first 4 heats, we will then take a break to conduct our yearly raffle where we give out awesome prizes. Raffle tickets can be purchased via cash or check (1 for $5 or 5 for $20). Following the conclusion of the raffle, we will take a group photo and then finish the day with an additional heat at 12:00pm (if necessary).
Lastly, we will be cooking out free brats and hot dogs and will have a potluck sign-up if anyone would like to bring a side dish, such as fruits, veggies, chips, salads and/or desserts. Our plan is to have the brats and hot dogs cooked up and ready by 11:00am. As for beverages, we will have free assorted light beer and as always we will have FitAID, K*ll Cliff and O2 for sale. If you'd like anything else specific... BYOB!
