Potions Lab: Mix, Make, and Create!

Step into the lab and become a potion master! In our Potions Lab, science meets magic in a hands-on chemistry workshop that lets kids mix, fizz, bubble, and brew their way through a series of enchanting experiments.

Participants will explore real scientific reactions while creating colour-changing potions, bubbling brews, and fizzy, foamy mixtures that seem straight out of a wizard’s handbook. We will introduce the science behind the spectacle—acids and bases, states of matter, chemical reactions—all disguised as magical creations. It’s a fun and educational way to explore chemistry in a creative, theatrical setting.

Date: August 3rd, 2025
Cost: $5/per youth – adults attend free!

Registration is non-refundable. Adults must remain with youth participants during the workshop. General admission rates apply if entering the Okanagan Science Centre exhibit spaces.
