About Odds:
Odds captivated audiences with their 1991 Zoo/BMG album, Neopolitan, catching the attention of Warren Zevon, who immediately recognized a kindred spirit. This led to Odds hitting the road as Zevon's opening act and backing band! Known for their unique blend of dark humor, Stax-inspired grooves, and infectious power-pop, Odds went on to release three more critically acclaimed albums: Bedbugs, Good Weird Feeling, and Nest, before taking a hiatus.
Their music resonated deeply, achieving platinum status in Canada, earning 6 JUNO nominations, and landing several Top 10s and Top 40 hits across the USA and worldwide! You'll undoubtedly recognize fan favorites like:
"It Falls Apart"
"Eat My Brain"
"Make You Mad"
"Nothing Beautiful"
"Heterosexual Man"
"Someone Who’s Cool"
And, of course, the theme song to Canada’s most successful comedy series, Corner Gas – “Not A Lot Going On.”
Odds made a triumphant return in 2008 with Cheerleader, featuring the catchy single "My Happy Place" (the Corner Gas outro). Their influence extended into the sports world as the Vancouver Canucks' official 'house band' for the 2010 and 2011 NHL playoffs, and they even performed at Canada Hockey House during the 2010 Olympics! The band also lent their musical talents to the theme of the CBC/IFC television series The Kids in the Hall: Death Comes to Town.
In 2013-14, Odds released three new EPs, later compiled into their dynamic album, Universal Remote. Most recently, 2023 marked a high point with their sensational newest album, Crash the Time Machine!
Don't miss your chance to see these Canadian music legends live!
