Darrell Leonard’s LineUp is a powerhouse horn band led by Grammy and WC Handy Award-winning trumpet player and arranger Darrell Leonard, known for his work with Taj Mahal, B.B. King, Bonnie Raitt, Elton John, and The Rolling Stones. Originally formed in the early 1980s and inspired by the big blues orchestras of B.B. King and Bobby Bland, LineUp blends New Orleans R&B, Memphis soul, and Texas shuffle into a gritty, danceable sound. After a long hiatus, the band is back with a fresh lineup, reimagined charts, and the dynamic vocals of Grammy-nominated Teresa James, delivering high-energy shows filled with deep grooves and serious horns.
