Join Meg Tucker for this two-part evening class where you’ll learn the art of creating stunning, lightweight Faux Stone earrings that look like real marble—without weighing your ears down!
Over two evenings, Meg will guide you through her faux stone technique using polymer clay. You’ll create 3 to 4 pairs of earrings while learning to:
Construct and manipulate a clay cane
Apply painted veining for realistic stone effects
Cut, roll, and stamp beads for dimension and detail
On night two, after you've rolled out and stamped your preferred shapes, Meg will provide a pre-recorded video demonstrating the final steps of baking, drilling, glazing, and finishing that she will complete for polished, professional final results.
When: Monday & Tuesday, August 18th & 19th from 6:00–7:30.
Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, this class promises creativity, camaraderie, and a bit of gemstone-inspired magic.
Your finished earrings will be ready to pick up approximately 2 weeks after class. Meg will call or text you when ready.
Meg Tucker is a recently retired military veteran who has transitioned into life as an artist. One of her passions lies in creating polymer clay jewelry that mimics the look and texture of natural minerals. “Rather than portraying specific objects,” Meg says, “I focus on making my work look like it could have come from the earth itself.”
Join Meg Tucker on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 18th and 19th from 6:00 to 7:30 as she shares her secrets on how to make realistic Faux Stone earrings that won't rip a hole in your ear!
Meg will guide you through several of the steps necessary in her faux stone technique using polymer clay to make 3 to 4 pairs of earrings that look like marble. Specifically, you will learn to make a clay cane, how to apply painted veining, cutting rolling and stamping beads.
On the second night of class after you've finished your part in making your earrings, Meg will share a pre-recorded video detailing baking, glazing, drilling and the finishing steps necessary to complete your beautiful, pristine faux stone earrings.
Recently retired from the military and embarking on her next chapter in life as an artist, one of Meg Tucker's many talents is creating polymer clay jewelry, primarily in faux stone patterns. She explains, "In lieu of depicting images or specific things in my jewelry, I attempt to make them look like they are or could be a naturally occurring mineral."
