Pro-D Day for High School Teachers – Art as a Superpower in the Age of AI

We're excited to invite you to join us for a special Professional Development Day, hosted by Young Guns Studio. This year’s theme is The Arts as a Superpower in the Age of AI.

As the pace of change accelerates in the age of AI, many of us as educators feel the tension: how do we stay relevant, how do we keep upskilling, and how do we continue to guide students who are already creating at a remarkable pace? The problems of tomorrow won’t be solved by narrow specialization, but by students who can integrate across domains with clarity, creativity, and purpose.

This workshop will show how the arts help students connect across disciplines with clarity and creativity. But it will also ask a deeper question: what does it mean to be human? As AI grows, the arts remind us to notice, to feel, and to make meaning — things that cannot be reduced to metrics. We’ll use quick “napkin sketching” to bring clarity to ideas. You’ll leave with practical tools you can use right away to integrate art and AI into your teaching process. And we’ll see how AI can act as a teaching assistant — freeing us to focus on what’s truly human: connection, meaning, and creative growth.

When: Friday, October 24, 2025

Time: 9:30am – 2:30pm (doors open at 9:00am)

Cost:

• $50 for public school teachers (subsidized rate to encourage broad participation)
• $150 for private school teachers
• Lunch is included for all participants
