Started in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 2020 and now based in Vancouver, Canada, Autonomous Apes is a Russian-Canadian rock trio that takes inspiration from grunge, alt rock and post-hardcore to create a unique blend of sounds and cultures. Fighting through the pandemic and the move to the other side of the Earth, frontman Egor Kopshar has managed to keep the band and music going, earning following and respect among peers in the Vancouver scene as well as beyond the home province. Now joined by Noah FP on bass and Erin Docherty on drums Autonomous Apes continues to reinvent itself.

Pen Pal Aloha is a Vancouver-based rock band known for their energetic, hook-driven sound. Formed in 2019, the trio—Steve David (vocals, guitar), Lee Huntington (bass), and Craig Marsden (drums)—draws inspiration from indie, punk, and alternative music, blending decades of influence into songs that are both fresh and timeless. Their debut EP, ‘In Time We’ll Be Alright’ (2021), showcased their ability to craft anthems with emotional depth and dynamic range. Now, with their upcoming EP, ‘Pacific’, set for release on May 29, 2025, Pen Pal Aloha is poised to take their sound to new heights. Featuring four brand-new tracks, the EP promises to capture the band’s evolution and solidify their reputation as rising stars in the Vancouver rock scene.
