Cancer Sucks, Let's Dance
Hey Friends,
as you know by now, I'm not doing super great healthwise.
Cancer is a bitch, but I refuse to let it stop me from doing the things I love. So, while I can no longer sing, I can still strum the hell out of six strings and I intend to do that for at least one more time as I gather my rag tag band of hooligans, The Still Spirits, along with a crew of some of my favorite local acts to throw one hell of a benefit party in the hallowed halls of the Rickshaw Theatre.
Details are still forming up, along with the final line up of bands, but the basic idea is this:
- Gather at the Rickshaw
- All admission is by donation (either at the door or via the GoFundMe campaign)
- Bands will be announced as I secure them
- Music, Drinks and Dancing will commence
- For any night owls, we will be staying up into the wee hours watching my favorite films of all time after the show
- EVERYONE is invited, NO ONE will be turned away for lack of funds, ALL DONATIONS are welcome
Please, help spread the word. Know that if we've ever met, I consider you a friend and you are invited.
This is for you all as much as it is for me.
