Paddle for the Coast: A Floating Concert for Indigenous Ocean Protection
Friday, June 27 | 7:00 PM | Jericho Beach, Vancouver
Calling all ocean lovers, music fans, and justice seekers!
Join us for Throw a Boat Down — a joyful, paddle-powered celebration of community, music, and environmental action.
Grab your SUP, kayak, canoe, or just a beach blanket, and head to Jericho Beach for a one-of-a-kind floating concert in support of Indigenous-led ocean protection. With live music from surprise guest performers and a sunset-lit tall ship stage, this is not your average night at the beach!
Tickets: $15–$25 via Humanitix:

What to expect:
⛵️Float-in concert — Launch your boat, float or board at 6:30 PM
🎶Live music — Funky, soulful East Van favourites (headliners revealed June 26!)
🏖️ Landlubber-friendly — Snag a cozy beach spot and enjoy the vibes from shore
🙌🏽 Impactful giving — All proceeds support RAVEN’s legal defence fund for the Heiltsuk Nation, who are in court fighting for ocean protection after the 2016 Nathan E. Stewart oil spill.
This is a magical night of art and activism, hosted aboard the historic sailing vessel Providence, and powered by a community that believes in justice for people and the planet.
Let’s paddle for the future. Let’s raise the tide for Indigenous rights. Don’t miss it!
