Maskquerade Events & Rent Cheque team up to bring you a mask mandatory community care club night at the Cobalt from 6pm-9pm before Rent Cheque starts.
There are designated drink areas a distance from the dance floor, acts throughout the evening from performers experimenting with new act ideas. You'll always be witnessing brand new art being born on stage!
Will they take everything off besides their mask? Maybe.
This is a designated time and space for immunocompromised and cautious members of our communities to feel welcome to come enjoy a night out.
Beyond masking requirements there will be:
- HEPA air purifiers on sight.
- Everyone working the event doing rapid antigen tests day before & day of.
- Marked off designated distance between dance floor where masks always stay on and drinking areas where masks can be temporarily removed.
- Kn95 masks provided for those who need upon arrival.
- Venue door open.
- Capping venue at half capacity (125) so we won't be overcrowded.
- Harm reduction table setup.

- Venue is ground level so wheelchair accessible.
- Restroom facilities are gender-free, unfortunately only one wheelchair accessible washroom with door.
- Some bar stools and chair seating is available.
- 4 min walk from Main St / Science World skytrain station.
- Service animals are welcome.
Entry at the door, $10-$20 sliding scale / pay what you can.
