Get ready for a day of young entrepreneurship at its finest! Over 300 kids aged 6-16 are gearing up to take over Esther Short Park on Saturday, June 7, as they become proud business owners for a day at the Junior Market.
Brought to you by the Greater Vancouver Chamber (GVC) and proudly presented by Main Squeeze OnPoint Community Credit Union, the Junior Market is the exciting finale of the Lemonade Day entrepreneurship program. Leading up to the big day, these budding entrepreneurs have been hard at work, guided by mentors or parents, learning the ins and outs of business through the interactive Lemonade Day Program.
Thanks to the incredible support of program investors like OnPoint Community Credit Union, this educational initiative is offered completely free of charge, giving kids the opportunity to learn vital life skills such as business operations, responsibility, financial literacy, goal setting, and teamwork.
The event kicks off at 9:00 am with a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the official opening of the market. From 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Esther Short Park will come alive with an array of high-quality products, ranging from artwork, decoupaged oysters, jewelry, hand creams, and birdhouses to organically grown produce and more.
Come and support our young kidpreneurs by shopping local at the Junior Market!
