We make it convenient and affordable for women to be scanned, adding invaluable protection to their annual breast health care regimen. HerScan helps women do more for their breast health, resulting in higher detection rates of cancer than with mammography alone.
Adding an Ultrasound to your yearly mammogram increases the
detection rate of breast cancer from approximately 48% to 97%,
particularly in women with dense breast tissue.
Approximately 50% of women in the U.S. have dense breast tissue. On mammograms, dense tissue appears
white, while cancerous tumors also appear white, making it nearly
impossible to “see” the tumor.
Ultrasound is non-invasive, delivers no radiation, and is the safest
and most well-known option for additional breast health screening.
Our Ultrasound screening includes a scan of both breasts with the underarm area (axilla) for $295, which includes a Board Certified Radiologist reading fee, a value of$1,100. All HerScan Sonographers are registered ARDMS.
