About Red Dirt Rangers: Spreading the Gospel of Red Dirt Music Since 1988, The Red Dirt Rangers have been ambassadors of a sound born in the heart of Oklahoma—Red Dirt music. Blending elements of country, rock and roll, blues, bluegrass, and a touch of Oklahoma soul, their music is as rich and diverse as the state they proudly call home.
Formed in 1988 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, the Rangers—Ben Han, John Cooper, and Brad Piccolo—got their start in a legendary house known simply as The Farm. This two-story, five-bedroom gathering place became a creative haven for a generation of musicians. There, the Rangers honed their craft alongside icons like the late Jimmy LaFave, Tom Skinner, and Bob Childers.
Over the years, the Red Dirt Rangers have carried the torch for the genre, bringing their high-energy performances to venues across the U.S. and Europe. Their distinctive sound—a "funky mix of Americana meets Rock and Roll meets Woody Guthrie and Bob Wills"—has captivated audiences everywhere from small-town dance halls to major festival stages. Tulsa World’s Thomas Conner described them best: “The Rangers always have epitomized and expanded on the Oklahoma red dirt sound—the elusive stew of country, folk, and whatever else is laying around.”
This will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won't want to miss. Seats are limited, so reserve yours today!
