Art, Music, and Community Come Alive at Edison Studios' “2nd Saturdays” in Tulsa
Edison Studios invites the public to celebrate art, culture, and connection at its vibrant monthly series, 2nd Saturdays @ Edison Studios, located at 4040 W Edison St, Tulsa, OK. These engaging events feature open studios, interactive workshops, art demos, live music, drumming, and more—providing a welcoming space for all ages and backgrounds to gather and grow through creativity.
This May edition, taking place on Saturday, May 10, from 12 PM – 4 PM, features:
- Live art demonstration by Ebony Iman Dallas, a celebrated visual storyteller whose bold, mixed-media work explores identity, culture, and the African diaspora.
- Labyrinth walk with Energy Solutions founder and artist Kathy R. Clarke, offering a reflective experience that blends movement with meditation.
- Open studios where guests can meet local artists, view works in progress, and experience the creative process up close.
The June edition, scheduled for Saturday, June 14, from 12 PM – 4 PM, will include:
- A Plant Propagation Swap hosted by Ebony Jones, where attendees can exchange plant cuttings and learn propagation techniques.
- A free Paint-a-Pot workshop led by vibrant artist Hope Egan, invites guests of all ages to decorate flower pots and take home a green gift.
Featured Edison Studios artists include Ojekunle Amusan, Kathy R. Clarke, Ebony Iman Dallas, Hope Egan, Zac Heimdale, Nomad Mystique, Angel Okolie, Lisa Regan, Brent Wolfe, and AAO Artists.
Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend. The event series encourages intergenerational community engagement through the power of visual art, music, and nature.
