Sally’s Day honors the enduring legacy of Sally Ride, the first American woman to fly in space.

This year, celebrate with a special screening of SPACEWOMAN followed by a live Q&A with the film’s subject and first female pilot and commander of the space shuttle, Eileen Collins moderated by fellow astronaut Wendy Lawrence. Come early before the film for a fashion show featuring the finalists of this year's annual Spacesuit Design Contest where Eileen and Wendy Lawrence will be judges, along with Sophy Wong. You won't want to miss it!

Watch the finalists of the 2025 Spacesuit Design Contest show off their homemade designs during an all-ages fashion show. Judging the finalists are Eileen Collins, Wendy Lawrence and Sophy Wong.

Enjoy a special screening of SPACEWOMAN, a documentary film about Eileen Collins, the first woman to pilot and command a spacecraft. Please note there is limited seating available and it is first-come, first-serve.


3:30 PM to 4:00 PM | Live Q&A with Eileen Collins | William M. Allen Theater

Stay after the film for a live Q&A with Eileen Collins, moderated by fellow astronaut Wendy Lawrence. In 2005, Collins and Lawrence embarked on the Space Shuttle Discovery as part of the crew of STS-114.
