PWP Bags & Brews National Black Bear Day & Yay for Rain River Cleanup Event

Happy June 2025!

We'll be kicking off our PWP Bags & Brews 'National Black Bear Day & Yay for All of the Rain' River Cleanup event at 10 AM this Saturday June 7 at the Safeway Flags!

Come get your free bear strap to keep your trash can lid secured, plus other important bear education information - plus celebrate all of the great rain and flowers and crops and river flows! We will kick off the day with treats and drinks to fuel our cleanup efforts and go around the circle sharing community updates of exciting activities and projects coming up, then dive into cleanup along the river. Then we'll head over to Moose's Pub in downtown Trinidad for a post-event celebration. See you there!

Details for PWP Bags & Brews River Cleanup:

Date: Saturday June 7, 2025

Time: 10 AM

Location: Meet at the Safeway parking lot in downtown Trinidad, by the row of flags.

What Is Provided: Trash bags, brand new gloves, brand new safety vests, disinfecting wipes, water/other drinks

What to Bring: Whatever additional personal protective gear you would like - sunscreen, hat, personal water bottle, your own gloves if you'd rather, etc

Logistics:

10:00 AM - We'll hand out supplies, chat community updates, then start walking the river to clean up. You can leave your filled bags along the edge of the Riverwalk, or bring them back to the starting location. The event organizers will check the Riverwalk at the end of the event and collect all bags left along the way.

12:00 PM - We'll head over to Moose's pub for a post-event social and celebration!
