Trinidad's local trail system turns 10 years old this summer and we want to celebrate!
Join Trinidad Trails Alliance for a fun day out at the trailhead, with activities for all ages including:
- Breakfast spread (pancakes, sausage, fruit, etc), PB&J fixings for lunch, and snacks
- Cold beverages
- Open acoustic jam session
- Art activities (sidewalk chalk, painting)
- Guided hikes and mountain bike rides
- Learn more about the history of this parcel and how it came to be a public park during our welcome remarks.
We'll tip our hats to the original visionaries who partnered with the city to design and build these trails, which are a true asset to our community.
Located on city land and under 2 miles from downtown, the Wormhole offers almost 5 miles of trails, including smooth and low elevation trails in the lower bowl, a steep ascent/descent to the mesa top, and commanding views of Simpsons Rest, Fishers Peak, the eastern plains, and the town of Trinidad.
