Grand Funk Railroad and 38 Special

The 99th National Cherry Festival is proud to announce that legendary rock bands Grand Funk Railroad and 38 Special will take the Pepsi Bayside Music Stage on Saturday, July 5, 2025. This epic night of classic rock promises powerful performances and unforgettable anthems along the shores of West Grand Traverse Bay.

Grand Funk Railroad, known for their explosive stage presence and blue-collar rock sound, dominated the charts in the 1970s with timeless hits like “We’re an American Band”, “Some Kind of Wonderful”, and “I’m Your Captain (Closer to Home)”. With over 25 million albums sold worldwide, the band continues to electrify audiences across generations with their gritty grooves and unmistakable energy.

Joining them is 38 Special, the Southern rock powerhouse whose fusion of arena rock and country soul produced hits like “Hold On Loosely”, “Caught Up in You”, and “Rockin’ Into the Night”. Celebrated for their signature sound and high-octane live shows, 38 Special brings a legacy of radio hits and crowd favorites to the stage.
