🕙 10–11am – ‘Stories of Imagination’ Book Reading and Author Talk
Come and meet a real-life author! Ask your questions about how a book gets made, where story ideas come from, and how you can start to write your own stories. Perfect for 5–8 year olds.
🕦 11:30–12:30pm – Townsville Young Writers Workshop
Are you an aspiring writer? Do you love reading books and want to start making stories of your own? Are you already writing your own stories? Come and learn from local children's author Lynelle Kendall in this fun, interactive writing workshop for children aged 8+.

Lynelle is an internationally published, award-winning children's author. Her debut book, Stories of Imagination: A Collection of Stories and Poems (2024), features magical tales and poems perfect for children aged 5–7. It’s ideal for reading aloud, with bonus activities, book recommendations, and creativity-sparking questions.
