ONTARIO POPS ORCHESTRA CELEBRATES 10TH ANNIVERSARY WITH: THE MUSIC OF HANS ZIMMER & BLOCKBUSTER CLASSICS!

Toronto ON – Join the Ontario Pops Orchestra for a thrilling 10th anniversary concert on Saturday May 31 2025 at 8 PM at Glenn Gould Studio. Under the inspired direction of Maestro Carlos Bastidas this special evening promises a powerful blend of cinematic and classical favorites.

Known for his energetic and emotionally rich leadership Maestro Bastidas has brought the Ontario Pops Orchestra to national acclaim transforming it into one of Canada’s most vibrant and inclusive ensembles. His innovative programming makes orchestral music accessible to all audiences.

This milestone concert features the unforgettable film music of Hans Zimmer including the iconic score from Pirates of the Caribbean alongside other Hollywood blockbusters. The program also includes Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8 a joyful and rhythmically rich masterpiece.

Adding vocal brilliance to the evening is soprano Leslie Higgins whose artistry will create a beautiful bridge between classical and film genres.
