Iranian Music Trio - Modal Music in the Parks

This summer, Labyrinth Ontario reignites its Modal Music in the Parks series with 4 outdoor concerts in RV Burgess park.

For the first performance in this series, we are delighted to present the Iranian Music Trio. This group is composed of artists deeply immersed in classical Iranian music: Soheil Sadeghi (Kamanche), Sasan Salaseli (Tonbak), and Mehrdad Jafari Raad (Tar).

Don’t miss this series of performances highlighting cultures from Europe, Western China, through Central and South Asia. Each is distinctive, but related through the modal music system. Labyrinth Ontario actively performs this centuries old practice, while renewing it through contemporary interpretations and new compositions.
