May 24th will be the 11th Anniversary of the first Drone Day (back in May 2014) and THE AMBiENT PiNG is presenting a free afternoon double-bill at the beautiful Trinity St. Paul's Church to celebrate!
Electronic soundscapers dreamSTATE have faithfully performed for The Drone each year and they will be bringing their latest dronescapes and atmospherics. Following their set, DRONE:KLUB:47 will assemble to weave a community sound tapestry for the occasion. This is a free event.

Beginning at 2PM, dreamSTATE (Scott M2 and Jamie Todd) launch a deep ambient drone journey into the church's soundspace. Listen to dreamSTATE's performance at the very first Drone Day at:

Next, the PiNG invites you to experience or to participate in DRONE:KLUB:47 - a live community drone session. Droners, Friends and Audience are all welcome.
* Please note that Trinity St. Paul's is not air-conditioned - so you may wish to dress lightly. Bottled water (especially in reusable bottles) is welcome in the Sanctuary - but no other food or liquids (including coffee). There will be washrooms (including an accessible one) and a fountain available.
We request a particularly respectful sonic offering from each Droner for this special event as we'll be sound-weaving in a sacred space during the Doors Open Toronto event and church-staff and visitors with their families will be coming and going throughout.
There will be less mixer inputs for this gathering (about a dozen mono or 6 stereo) so we may need to trade off after a while. Please bring your own long cables with 1/4" male jacks (or adapters to 1/4" male) to connect with the mixer. There will be AC power and some power bars. 3 large tables will be available to be shared and there's comfy chairs.
Loadin / Setup - 1:15pm to 1:45pm.
After the dreamSTATE set (which begins at 2pm), we'll make the final connections and sound tests and set sail... returning to silence by 4:20. We'll need to pack up and be out of the Sanctuary by 5pm.
BTW - If you're droning, bringing headphones (to hear your part of the ensemble drone more clearly) & a tuner (if you're analog) would be a plus.
We'll be recording for potential free album releases like these:
