May 4th is the opening day of the magical Westchester Bicycle Sundays. The Bronx Parkway will be closed for car traffic 10am - 2pm, and we will ride its full length all the way to the Kensico Reservoir.
- All vehicles legal on greenways are welcome.
- NO helmets are required'
- Easy pace stopping for snacks, pics, toilet, etc.
- Beginners and advanced are all welcome.
- We ride along public transit.
- Plenty of opportunities to drop off if exhausted.
- Your safety is your own responsibility.
Meeting:
Just inside Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx across from W 242 St at the benches of the round clearing. The #1 subway stop is just a block away. The Riverdale station on Metro North is farther away but is accessible and a better ride. See images.
