Ordination Rock Run 5k

Start Tamworth Family Day off on the right foot!
Tamworth’s Ordination Rock Run is a fun, family-oriented local Independence Day tradition. Highlighting Ordination Rock, the race commemorates the historical boulder that served as the site of Samuel Hidden’s ordination in 1792. The rock is a popular destination for visitors interested in the town’s history and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, serving as the focal point of this enjoyable, low-key running event.
This event highlights arts and culture of Tamworth and surrounding towns. Every registered participant will receive a commemorative gift, delicious ice cream from Papa Beans, and an entry in the free bib raffle! The 5k course takes you on a tour of Tamworth Village and on the trails of Remick Country Doctor Museum and Farm. First finishers by gender will receive hand made mugs from Tamworth’s Dexter Harding. Age group winners will receive a $5 “wooden nickel” for Tamworth’s famous Farmer’s Market!
Bring your friends and family and join the Tamworth Outing Club at this energizing way to warm up your Family Fun Day Spirit before the town parade and Family Fun Fair!
Registration is $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 18. All proceeds from this event will go to support the Tamworth Outing Club’s (TOC) key outdoor and educational programs.
