Timing & Musicality Workshop with Scott

Scott's all-levels Timing & Musicality Salsa Workshop is designed to help dancers deepen their connection to salsa music, refine their rhythm, and improve their ability to stay on beat. It will cover:

🪇 Understanding Salsa Music Structure – Exploring key instruments like the clave, congas, bass, and piano, and how they shape the rhythm.

🎶 Timing & Rhythm Training – Learning to recognize different beats and sync footwork with the music.

🎹 Musical Interpretation – Developing the ability to express musical accents and phrasing through movement.

🥁 Ear Training – Strengthening the ability to hear and respond to salsa’s layered sounds.

💃🏼 Practical Application – Dancing to live or recorded music with guided exercises to enhance musicality.

This workshop is perfect for dancers who want to feel more natural and confident on the dance floor while truly embodying the music.
