Agathe (Camille Rutherford) is a hopelessly clumsy yet charming young woman who works in the legendary Shakespeare & Co. bookshop in Paris, while dreaming of becoming a successful writer herself. That dream is entangled with a second, just as fervent and seemingly just as far away — the dream of experiencing love like the kind she has read about in Jane Austen novels. Instead, she finds herself desperately single and plagued by writer's block.
When Agathe’s best friend (Pablo Pauly) gets her invited to the Jane Austen Writers’ Residency in England, she finally has her Jane Austen moment but soon finds herself caught in a very unexpected romantic triangle. Agathe must confront her insecurities to finally fulfill her ambition of becoming a novelist and put an end to wasting her sentimental life.
