The stars will be in alignment for this month's Free Jazz Thursday as the FJT house trio of Longineu Parsons, Brian Hall, and Michael Bakan welcome very special guest Dr. Zach Bartholomew to Blue Tavern for a one-time only night of sublime quartet jazz.

Bartholomew, who grew up locally and holds a Master's from FSU and a doctorate from the University of Miami in Jazz Studies, is now one of the leading artists on the vibrant Miami music scene, where he performs regularly with the city's elite jazz and Latin music stars and is a music professor at Florida Memorial University.

Check out his newly released album Balancing Act, which is quickly climbing the national jazz charts.
