Westlake Choral Gala 2025

Join us for an inspiring evening celebrating Westlake’s young singers at our annual Westlake Choral Gala! This concert will showcase all six Westlake choirs, each presenting their own recital and demonstrating the diverse repertoire and skillful musicianship of our vocal ensembles.

A highlight of the evening is the recognition of our three premier choirs – Choralation, Cantare, and Voicemale, who have been proudly invited to take part in the prestigious Big Sing Finale hosted by the New Zealand Choral Federation in Dunedin at the end of August. Only 24 secondary school choirs from across Aotearoa are selected for this honour — a testament to the outstanding dedication of our students and music teams.

The Choral Gala offers an opportunity for our local community and choral music lovers to hear these competition recital performances live — a perfect send-off before our choirs head to the national stage.
