Save Orewa Beach Public Meeting

The Orewa community and Surf Club have not been consulted on Council's predetermined "naturalisation" plan which the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board decided upon in March 2024. This Public Meeting will convey to the Local Board and Council, what the community wants and the beach and reserve needs.

**HELP PROTECT OREWA RESERVE**
**PUBLIC MEETING:**
**OREWA SURF CLUB - Tuesday 24th June 2025 @ 7.00pm**

ORCA:
• Propose a rock wall to protect the Reserve and facilities

Council proposes naturalisation & sand dunes:

• Remove 11 Norfolk Pine and 51 Pohutukawa Trees
• Relocate/remove playground, basketball & volleyball courts
• Significant loss of on-site parking
• Significant loss of grassed Reserve
