This milestone event celebrates half a century of dedication to preserving and advancing New Zealand's rich rail heritage.

The Grand Cavalcade: Be part of a grand parade featuring historic locomotives, celebrating the legacy of rail in New Zealand.
The Ultimate Cab Ride Experience: Step into the cab and experience the thrill of the best seat in the house!
Feilding Steam Explorer - Ww 644 hauls it's first Manawatu-based trains in preservation!
Main Trunk Steam Spectacular - Witness the grandeur of steam locomotives Ja 1271 & Ab 608 in action heading towards Ohakune!
River City Rail Cruise - Enjoy a late afternoon run to Whanganui followed by a meal beside the river!
Mountain Thunder - Feel the power of a quartet of locomotives as they traverse mountainous terrains, showcasing engineering marvels!
Manawatu Gorge Trekker: Embark on an adventurous trek through the picturesque Manawatu Gorge, behind Ww 644!
Location - Friday's Celebrations are being held at Palmerston North Railway Station, with the weekend's trains departing from as far south as Paekakariki, picking up passengers all the way north!
