Community Dune Planting - Big Manly Beach

Join Us for a Dune Planting Day at Big Manly Beach!

Date: Sunday 25th May
Time: 10am - 12pm – we advise joining at the start as we will finish when all the plants are in.
Meeting point: The Esplanade (at the end of Beach Road)

Restore Hibiscus & Bays, Forest & Bird's Big Manly & Tindalls Dotterel Minders, and Auckland Council, invite you to help protect our coastline and support local wildlife. We'll be planting low-growing native dune plants along the edge of the grassed reserve at Manly Beach. These plants help prevent erosion and create safer foraging and nesting areas for the resident Northern NZ Dotterels who are at risk.

What to bring: Gardening gloves, water bottle, snacks, dress for the weather. Please bring a clean spade or trowel if you have one.
