Tahlequah Creates' Wednesday Night Poetry Series Featuring Poet David Jennings

David Jennings is an award-winning photographer and poet. He has written poetry since the late 1980s, and has published many poems in various literary journals over the past thirty years. More recently, he has enjoyed combining original photographs with poetry--leading, thus far, to three published collections of work. His first book, 'The Smallest Hint,' (Yorkshire Publishing, 2022) was the 2023 photography division winner of the Oklahoma Book Awards. His second book, 'Someday, Somewhere,' (Resource Publications, 2023) was a finalist in the 2024 Oklahoma Book Awards, photography division. His most recent book, 'The Ashes,' (Resource Publications) was released last fall. Raised in Claremore, the author has worked locally as a rehabilitation physician for more than 15 years and lives with his wife and daughter in Broken Arrow.
