Make-it Sew is now every Tuesday!
Come use all our materials for free, including sewing machines, fabric, patterns, large cutting tables, ironing stations and all kinds of sewing notions. We welcome participants to use this time to be social finding others of like mind who enjoying sewing and fiber arts.
We offer Sewing Machine Basics only on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month. Participants will learn how to use a sewing machine. Sign up for Sewing Machine Basics at

The 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesdays are 100% self-directed. Our volunteers will still be available to answer questions, but there is no Sewing Machine Basics instruction.
Make-it Sew has a new location at Tacoma Public Library Main Branch 2nd Floor Mixing Chamber. Enter in alley at 1100 Court F at gated door.

What is Make-it Sew?
Make-it Sew is a FREE sewing program to teach participants how to use a sewing machine. We then help guide participants in practicing their new sewing skills while providing easy to understand projects, along with all the materials.
We have all the materials!
Sewing machines, fabric and sewing accessories will be provided for FREE.
Important Information:
- Make-it Sew is self-directed, adding to your DIY journey. It is not a sewing class.
- Adolescents 14 years and older can attend with a parent if they are participating in sewing.
