Free Resource Fair and Movie Screening - Evergreen

Join Pierce County Human Services in May as we celebrate Community Action Month and Older Americans Month with free resource fairs, screenings of the documentary "Cooked: Survival by Zip Code," and vital community discussions with a panel of local experts.

The first event will be held on Friday, May 9 at The Evergreen State College - Tacoma (1210 6th Avenue, Tacoma) from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The second event will be on Friday, May 30 at Pacific Lutheran University.

The screenings will be followed by a community discussion led by Pierce County Community Action Programs, featuring local experts and speakers from a variety of sectors, exploring how we can move from disaster response to real solutions that address the root causes of poverty. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of an urgent conversation. Poverty is a disaster we can prevent—but only if we choose to act.
