About the event

Historic Writing Workshop

In 1859, Sallie McNeill, the granddaughter of Levi Jordan, started writing her diary. She was unaware that it would become a crucial primary source of information about life on the Levi Jordan Plantation.

In this workshop, you will discover the importance of Sallie’s diary, learn about historic inks, make a quill pen, and be inspired to start recording your own story!
