A meaningful weekend gathering in the Umpqua National Forest — blending trail stewardship, cultural connection, and time in nature with fellow veterans, families, and community members.
Join us at Illahee Flat for our 3rd annual Trail Work and Storytelling event, featuring:
🪓 Trail Work on Wild Rose Trail
📅 Saturday, June 28 | ⏰ 9 AM – 3 PM
🔥 Storytelling
⏰ 5 PM with Earl, a Klamath Modoc elder and Raven storyteller with his brother
This was a deeply moving part of last year’s gathering — not to be missed.
🏕️ Camping is available from Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29.
The site is primitive but has a restroom facility. Please bring your own camping gear.
Whether you're able to join for the trail work or just want to be part of the community gathering and storytelling, you're warmly welcome. Come for the whole weekend or just a portion of it — whatever works for you.
This event is open to veterans, their families, and community members.
