The Grand's Memorial Day Ceremony

The Grand Flag Detail team of volunteers is hosting a special ceremony on Memorial Day dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who served during the Korean and Vietnam War Eras.

The Ceremony of Honor starts at 11:45 a.m. Monday, May 26, in front of the Veterans Monument located west of the Chaparral Center: 19781 N. Remington Drive, Surprise, AZ 85374.

The American flag will begin at half-staff and will be raised at noon.

Attendees will hear several stories of Korean and Vietnam veterans who served in the wars. The Flag Detail team will also do a roll call of Korean and Vietnam Era veterans from The Grand community.

Lunch will be available for purchase beginning at 11 a.m. Get a hamburger or hot dog combo for $10.

All are welcome! Grand residents, families and community members are encouraged to attend and show their support for these heroes. Our nation owes a debt of gratitude to those who served in these historic conflicts.

Let us come together to honor their service and ensure their contributions are never forgotten. We look forward to honoring these veterans on this meaningful occasion.
