Celebrate National Mackem Day with Sunderland Music City at the Sheepfolds Stables on Tuesday 12th August!
Hosted in partnership with ALS: SAFC Fanzine, A Love Supreme and The Mackem Dictionary and Cewkbewk, this will be an evening of live music, spoken word, and crafts. Delicious Sunlun-themed scran will also be available from Propa Sunderland.
The programme features an impressive line-up of homegrown talent, including Barry Hyde, David Brewis, Sunderland Symphony Orchestra, The Lake Poets, Small Town Brass, Tom A. Smith, This Little Bird, Helen WIlko of King Ink, Patrick Gosling, Eve Simpson, Ani Sandwith, and many more.
In addition to the music, attendees can explore works of local arts and crafts. Work will be available to purchase from acclaimed artists and makers including ALS (A Love Supreme), Kathryn Robertson, Chris Cummings, and GrassiArt.
