You're invited to attend the opening reception for this awesome exhibit. Featuring the works of over 50 artists across Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas, immersive elements, and a focus on community and accesibility.
Since 2008, the Brimstone Museum has hosted the Chaos Theory Art Show, an annual celebration of nostalgia, pop culture, and creative chaos. Open to all artists, geeks, gamers, cosplayers, and creatives, this community-driven exhibit features bold, vibrant, and unpredictable works that span every fandom, art form, and aesthetic. Each year, a sub-theme is introduced to inspire new interpretations.
The 2025 theme is Chaos Theory: Future
This is a free-to-attend event and exhibit. We are encouraging a costumed theme and guests are welcome to dress up in "futuristic" attire at their leisure, or casual attire, as it pleases them.

We will have light refreshments available, a food truck, live music, and plenty to see and admire from the hands and minds of our local arts community.
There will also be artwork for sale at this event, and purchases can be made with cash or check only.
The Chaos Theory Art Show will be on display from Ocotober 2nd to November 15th. Admission is always free, hosted by the Brimstone Historical Society and Sulphur Parks and Recreation. There is no age limit on this show, and we are happy to assist with framing, printing and supplies for artists through grant funding provided by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury and Arts and Humanities Council of SWLA.
