2nd Annual Matt Honold Memorial Bike Ride

We are the Honold Cousins who grew up in the 1980s camping together. Before Nintendos were in mass use or even invented, we all did what children in the 80s did to pass time: we rode our bicycles!

It’s with great sadness that we lost one of our bike riding cousins, Matt, last year after his battle with melanoma. We have planned to gather yearly to honor the memory of the boy we all knew and the great man he became. If you were Matt’s family, a friend of Matt, or just see this and love bicycling, you are welcome! The course is 22.2 miles, starting at the Rock Quarry on the NW side of Sturgeon, going to/around Potawatomi State Park and back. I personally have fond memories of traveling this path with Matt many many times.
