Join us on August 21, 8:30am, as we get to hear from a prescribed fire expert to learn about the essential role of fire in Florida! You will get to have all of your questions answered and even see evidence of how previous burns have influenced this park.
From millions of years ago until today, fire has been shaping habitats and wildlife communities in Florida - learn how land managers use fire to maintain these native habitats and keep them thriving.

FREE program, but reservations are required
This program will begin at 8:30am and last until approximately 10:00am
The length of this nature walk is about 1.0-1.5 mile across various natural surfaces
Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear
Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray
Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult
No pets
All participants will be required to sign waivers that will be provided at the start of the program
