Frankly, I was disappointed. Our guide was very nice and undoubtedly knowledgeable about other aspects of our environment, yet nearly we seemed to talk about and observe were different lichens. Perhaps there were too many humans on the hike that scared animals and other inhabitants of the Preserve, but anyone can observe lichens by themselves day or night. I hope future hikes are more substantive.
