Screening of People of Steel — A Ukrainian Documentary

Join Leleka Foundation, in partnership with the Ukrainian Museum and Library of Stamford, Saint Basil Seminary, and Brave Selections, for a special evening dedicated to courage, resilience, and the spirit of Ukraine. A screening of the acclaimed Ukrainian documentary People of Steel, directed by Serhii Fomenko — renowned musician, frontman of Mandry, and a volunteer of Ukraine’s Armed Forces. Serhii is touring the U.S. and will join us in person for a post-screening Q&A to share the powerful stories behind the film.

🎵 Bonus Live Performance: To close the evening, Serhii will perform a special live set, bringing his signature sound and the soul of Ukraine to the stage.

🍷 Ukrainian Wine & Bites: Before the screening, guests will be welcomed with a glass of Artwine sparkling wine (rated 90 pts by James Suckling) — one of the last rescued bottles from before the fall of Bakhmut — and a selection of cheeses.

You’ll also have the opportunity to sample and purchase unique Ukrainian wines, beers, and ciders presented by Brave Selections, an American importer bringing high-quality Ukrainian beverages to the U.S. Proceeds support Rebuilding Cellars, a program helping to revive Ukraine’s wine industry.

All proceeds from ticket and merchandise sales will benefit Leleka Foundation, a U.S.-based nonprofit delivering life-saving medical supplies to frontline medics in Ukraine.

На вас чекає показ українського документального фільму “Люди зі сталі”, режисер Сергій Фоменко — музикант, фронтмен гурту Мандри та доброволець Збройних сил України. Наразі він перебуває у просвітницькому турі США та особисто приєднається до події, щоб поспілкуватися з глядачами. Наприкінці вечора Сергій виконає кілька пісень.

Перед показом на гостей чекатиме тестування ігристого вина Artwine (90 балів за версією James Suckling). Це вино одне з останніх, врятованих з підвалів легендарного винного заводу у Бахмуті до того, як місто було окуповане росіянами.

Також ви зможете скуштувати й придбати унікальні українські вина, пиво та сидр, які імпортує до США компанія Brave Selections. Кошти від продажу ідуть на підтримку програми Rebuilding Cellars, що допомагає відновити виноробну галузь України.
