Quantum Leap is a prestigious ensemble that redefines chamber music by seamlessly blending classical and contemporary styles. This dynamic performance will include live composer participation including noted New Canaan musician and composer Gwyneth Walker as a narrator whose piece "Trails and Open Spaces" will be performed.
The ensemble includes internationally acclaimed musicians Edita Orlinyte (violin) Shan Jiang (violin) Suzanne Corey-Sahlin (viola) Gunnar Sahlin (cello) and Maxim Pakhomov (piano). Additional to Ms. Walker's composition the program includes "How Rivers Become Other Rivers" by Marc Chan and "Piano Quintet Op 88" by Antonín Dvořák.
A reception will follow the performance. The concert is partially funded by the Stamford Arts and Culture Commission. There is a suggested donation $20.
