Three short plays performed by Stafford Players - Beata Beatrix, The Grand Cham's Diamond and The Right Honourable Lady
The Right Honourable Lady - a journalist named Flavia is tasked with exposing the private life of her friend, Nicola Macdonald, now a Secretary of State. Flavia, initially successful in her assignment, uncovers an affair and the resulting scandal threatens both women's careers and marriages.
The Grand Cham's Diamond - The play begins with the Perkins family engaged in their usual evening routine when a mysterious event disrupts their monotony—a valuable diamond, the Grand Cham's Diamond, unexpectedly comes into their possession. As they wrestle with the implications of possessing such a treasure, the family's dynamics shift with ambition and greed taking hold, particularly for Mrs. Perkins, who dreams of a life free from drudgery. However, when a stranger arrives, claiming to be the diamond’s rightful owner, the tension escalates
Beata Beatrix - Touring an art gallery, Beatrice notices a lone man, Jon, crying before a painting created out of remorse for a tragedy in the artist's life. Intrigued, Beatrice offers help, and it transpires that for Jon, whose wife had died of leukemia while he was with another woman, the painting tells his own story
