Multi-Award-winning Performer and Director Jeff Harnar and Award-winning Music Director Alex Rybeck return to Blue Strawberry with their Weekend of Master Classes and Performance Showcase. The weekend begins Friday night with a ticket to see Harnar & Rybeck’s show “Sammy Cahn The Second Time Around” (New York Times Critic’s Choice) at Blue Strawberry. Saturday and Sunday morning sessions at the venue focus on sharing specific tools for song interpretation and arrangement onstage with a Master Class format of participants performing onstage in front of the others and receiving feedback and exploring adjustments. Participants will be working toward building a two song set for the Monday night showcase. There will be an informal rehearsal Sunday afternoon/evening in a private home and Sound Check at Blue Strawberry Monday afternoon prior to the evening performance. Friends and Family are encouraged to attend. The Showcase will be videotaped and made available to the participants for their viewing and promotional purposes.
Harnar and Rybeck have worked individually with artists such as Liz Callaway, Ann Hampton Callaway, Tovah Feldshuh, Rita Gardner and many more to build critically acclaimed, award-winning shows and bring the wisdom and tools of their 42 year musical partnership to this unique and valuable Workshop and Showcase experience.
