Welcome to Blues on the Block: The Legacy Within Series! Thanks to our partnership with the Missouri Arts Council, we're bringing the party inside this year with a FREE concert (with RSVP via Eventbrite) and access to tour the museum!
Join us on Saturday, June 22nd at the National Blues Museum for an unforgettable afternoon with Rod Allen, acclaimed smooth jazz and R&B saxophonist. Originally from East St. Louis, Rod’s soulful sax style was shaped under the mentorship of Ronald Carter and honed through decades in Nashville’s vibrant music scene—including a 20-year residency at B.B. King’s Blues Club. He’s opened for B.B. King and performed alongside icons like Lee Oskar and Tony Coleman.
