Big Queer Picnic in the Park

The first pride celebrations were riots and organic gatherings of queer folks, not corporate-sponsored events that charge admission.

This is an opportunity to gather for queer folks who don't feel like attending corporate pride, but still want to get outside and celebrate with other queer folks.

WHAT IT IS:
Bring a blanket! Bring snacks and drinks! Bring your friends and lovers! Maybe bring a game or activity to do with your friends or with other folks! Wear your hottest and coolest outfit! Hang out with your friends or make new ones! Celebrate life and queer community!

IMPORTANT NOTE:
This is a BYO, DIY event. There will not be booked vendors or booths or food or entertainment. To be clear, I am not actually "hosting" this in the traditional sense, merely facilitating its creation. I'm simply a queer person who wants to celebrate pride but doesn't want to participate in corporate pride downtown and since Tower Grove Pride is now in September, I'm feeling a hole in my heart for queer gathering this month. Let's party!
